Well, it's almost New Year's Eve and I think I survived the holiday season! Well survived is kind of a loose term at this point. I didn't gain any weight so to me that's surviving! Considering I went completely off the rails and ate whatever I wanted (wheat included!) and it was like, "Paleo? Never heard of it!" In retrospect, it was pretty ambitious/dumb of me to think I could complete a 30 day challenge over Christmas at this point. By this time next year, I'll be able to easily do it.
As of January 1st, I'll be a January Joiner at the gym again (okay maybe the 2nd because our local gym will be closed New Year's Day) and it'll be a Whole30 Challenge. I'm almost done reading, "It Starts With Food" and as I read it, I remember more and more why I started this journey to begin with. It all makes so much sense. And having been back on wheat this last month-ish, I've noticed all the little annoying things are back. I've been sick twice and have had skin issues. I want and need to get back to my normal.
Here's to a big year! PS I'M GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR!!!!
